New FACT SHEET

The factsheet is conveying results from the Ya Tsie trial in Botswana Deep-sequence phylogenetics to quantify patterns of HIV transmission in the context of a universal testing and treatment trial - BCPP/Ya Tsie trial, that found small clusters of genetically similar HIV infections suggest an epidemic where many infect a few rather than a few infecting many.

The Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) at the University of Oxford has joined forces with the Science for Africa Foundation and the Mastercard Foundation to launch a call for applications to establish innovative networks of research excellence in epidemic and pandemic sciences across Africa.
